About Quiet Storms

Quiet Storms are my favorite way to make change.

With small, subtle shifts that dramatically change my life.

Yeah, I’ll admit it: I’m lazy. I don’t want to work harder than I have to. And I’m busy. And I’ve only got so much time left on this earth, and I want to use it well.

Sound familiar? Feel familiar?

This blog focuses on the tiny changes we can make to become more creative, more happy, and less self-harming.

This blog also looks at parenting after experiencing traumatic abuse: I share my own experiences, others share theirs, and we’ll look at the current research on trauma, abuse, parenting, recovery, survival, and resiliency.

There will be days you read here and you’ll feel unsettled. Like a storm is coming in. That may be true – but here it’s all in service of becoming the best version of ourselves we can be.

Thank you for joining me.
